This type of printer includes vertical plate movement in addition to a jet and 4 axes. This machine uses wax as a material therefore heaters and temperature sensors were used for melting the wax at an accurate temperature. Moreover, controlling pressure and applying an innovative bus protocol (combining RS485 protocol with some WiFi ideas for collision avoidance) are the two most important electronic parts of this project. BLDC motors were used for the movement in three axes and also a roller was heated to an appropriate temperature and driven for drying the injected wax immediately. This project was under the supervision of ACSIDMAAD and I was honored to be the electronic engineer in the R&D team.
